Review - Once Upon A Dragon

Author: Tabitha Ormiston-Smith
Published: August 31, 2015
Pages: 117 pages
Genre: Short Story
Pinky's Rating (out of 5): 5 dragonflies

A non-themed, cross-genre collection of short fiction, including fantasy, science fiction and horror as well as general fiction. Once Upon A Dragon is a bit like a box of mixed chocolates. Some are hard centres, some soft, some more soft than others, and the flavours are various. There is no unifying theme, although four of the stories concern a dragon, viewed from different perspectives over time.

My Thoughts:

This is a wonderful compilation of the short fiction of Tabitha Ormiston-Smith.

Some are whimsical and others thought provoking, but all are written in the true Ormiston-Smith style of tongue in cheek black humor.

You won't go past 'Restless Legs' and 'Professor Tomlinson's Last Experiment' for tales with a twist, or User Pays to make you really think about your contribution to society.

Whatever your favorite, I guarantee you will enjoy one if not all of these great quick reads.
